EC Health MEC extends condolences to the King's family and nation

The Eastern Cape Health MEC, Sicelo Gqobana joins the nation in conveying the department’s heartfelt condolences to the Sandile family and the Xhosa nation, following the death of King Maxhobayakhawuleza Sandile yesterday.
Gqobana received the news with a sense of sadness and shock. He was amongst those who visited the King when he was admitted at both 1 military battalion and St Dominic’s hospitals and was convinced that the King had fully recovered. 
He said, the King would long be remembered for his passion and commitment to service delivery as well as his warmth and kindness to his subjects and the Xhosa nation.
