The Department formulated a policy to ensure that all its residents have access to essential health services. The policy encapsulates the following values,
a. Equity of both distribution and quality of service
b. Service excellence including customer satisfaction,
C. Fair labour practices,
D. Good work ethics and a high degree of accountability, and
e. Transparency demonstrated through consultations with all stakeholders in the health industry filed.

Mandate

  • The department wanted among others things to deal with
  • The need for integrated information management so as to address the clients needs from one central point .
  • Service improvement through reports generated from analysis of the queries received by the contact center .
  • Increased communication internally and externally
  • Fostering of constitutionally obligation to progressively ensure righ to health care reality.
