This section of the website contains information on the Organisational Structure of the department.

The department is managed by the Top Management, comprising the Superintendent General and Branches (Corporate Services Cluster, Health Cluster,  Financial Management Cluster and Corporate Strategy and Organisational Performance Cluster). The Top Management is supported by the Executive Management and Senior Management (Chief Directors and Directors), focuses on ensuring that the department maintains the highest professional standards in delivering quality health care services to the people of the Province of the Eastern Cape.
 
It provides leadership through decision-making on corporate issues and in shaping the values and culture of the department to ensure an open, fair and professionally rewarding working environment for all staff members of the department.
 
The department maintains offices in each region in order to provide services to the people.
